Hello.. I am a 27 year old female. Last March I had a fistulotomy. The CRS said t was pretty superficial and not very large. He didnt not expect me to have any complications as he did not have to go deep or far into the muscle at all. I recently started prenatal vitamins which made me have very bulky stools for a few weeks... I have had some tenderness where my fistulotomy wound was located this past two weeks. Today I had some discharge that looked identical to what I had after surgery while it was healing. After some inspection I saw that I still have a small wound. Is it possible it just hasnt healed or that it could have been torn open? I go in tomorrow hot am very nervous as I do not want another fistula to have occurred. Im terrified to get another surgery for it especially as we are trying to get pregnant. If it has not healed after almost a year what typically happens? Thanks so much for any info!
